Set 900 years after an apocalyptic war between humans and vampires, the series focuses on the ongoing cold war between the Vatican, the human government, and the “New Human Empire”, the government of the vampiric Methuselah. Fighting on the Vatican’s side is Abel Nightroad, a Crusnik – a vampire that feeds on vampires.

Despite being nearly unstoppable in his 80% fused form, Abel only uses his Krusnik abilities as a last resort, mostly out of shame. As such, he is far more likely to transform if nobody else is around.
Was Trinity Blood Cancelled?
Update 2018: The manga has ended where the novels have ended. Note that contrary to popular belief, the author’s friend Kentaro Yasui did not complete the series, nor is he completing the series or helping with the manga. He did, however, write a short story called Trinity Blood Apocrypha featuring Astharoshe.
Is Trinity Blood worth watching?
Trinity Blood is best enjoyed as a unit (manga, novels, and anime) rather than as just an anime. All three of the storylines are slightly different, each adds its own dimension to the world. As a stand-alone anime TB is pretty good, but taken with the other works it is amazing!
